Patricia Thompson is a Brazilian fine art photographer. Has recently been awarded 1st place at “Arte Padova – 25ª Mostra d’Arte Moderna e Contemporânea” (November 2014) and 2nd place in the Biennale d’Arte di Roma (January 2014).
Her abstracted architectural style was developed during the 6 years she lived in NYC. Through the urban perspective, her imageries are visual elaborations composed primarily of reflective surfaces with the intention of capturing multiple layers to create new optic possibilities. If the photographed elements are identifiable, the challenge is to create unexpected and enigmatic imageries.
Shoots with the Leica M 240 and began shooting with a Pentax K1000.
Born in 1985, started photographing at age 16. Currently lives and works in Rio de Janeiro.
